Peter New is currently Process Engineer & Chemical Advisor in Chevron San Joaquin Business Unit.  Peter has 10 years’ experience in Chevron. He started with Chevron Upstream Europe, providing process engineering support to the Alba platform whilst working on offshore rotation.  He led process engineering activities through the Captain Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Major Capital Project (UK North Sea) and went on to support Captain as Senior Operations Engineer. In his current role, Peter provides process & production chemical support to SJV operations.  He graduated from Imperial College London in Chemical Engineering and is a chartered Chemical Engineer. Peter is currently chairperson of the SJV Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Surface Study Group and holds several patents in chemical EOR.
